Once upon a time was the urge to leave a senseless existence.
Destination La Charente to discover a real life : become winemakers and cognac distillers.
Everything had to be learned: vineyard work, winemaking, distillation, aging, but also the weather, treatments, diseases, soils, mechanical, swiping the floor (!), and even accounting, administrative procedures with customs, the Fisc, the farmers’ social security, and finally to observe nature, adopt the right gestures to avoid injuries, and last but certainly not least meet and listen to those who give good advice…
Without ever counting one’s time or postponing anything to tomorrow, because tomorrow it’s raining!
Without saving our energy during the harvest or during the distillation which requires a 24/7 monitoring.
And without ever giving up, even when watching hail fall during a summer thunderstorm.
All this has been possible thanks to the constant support of our families and the warm and faithful presence of our friends.
It is for these reasons that it seemed obvious, one day, to show you why we do it.
